Skye島について知ったのは”たまみかずみ”のユニットで”Trip to the skye”という曲を演奏した時でした。Skye？空はskyなのに何でeが？というところからskye島そしてこの歌に出逢いました、
スコットランド王にボニー・プリンス・チャーリーをというジャコバイトと英国軍の戦い。
1746年4月16日に起ったカロデンの戦い。
大敗したジャコバイト。
プリンス・チャーリーをskye島へ逃亡させる史実を綴った歌です。
